Who am I?
I’m Pranjal.
I grew up in a small town in India with big dreams of becoming a Global Citizen.
For my day job, I work as a Senior Engineering Program Manager at Google in the SF Bay Area. I earned my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and I recently earned my Master of Liberal Arts (Organizational Psychology) from Harvard University. I’ve co-authored two O’Reilly publications and have been invited to speak at numerous Site Reliability Engineering conferences all over the world. I’m also a contributor to the “Google Project Management: Professional Certificate” program on Coursera which has positively impacted 1.75 Million people so far. My favorite job, however, is working with my spouse as a 24x7 butler for our Golden Retriever boy, Teddi.
Although I’ve always been passionate about travel, my solo journeys started not out of choice but out of compulsion. Working with geographically diverse teams forced me to step out of my comfort zone and take the plunge. I fell in love instantly, have explored 30+ countries so far and as you may have guessed, I'm always working on my “where next” list. My solo travel experiences have significantly contributed to my continuous evolution and now I want to share that joy globally and pay it forward.
Diving into unfamiliar territory is scary, I get it. Travel is fun and you will make many new friends, but there are also challenges. I’ve had my share of complex experiences with managing safety, public perception, language, culture and expectations, medical emergencies, eating out alone, visas, planning, weather, public transport, sickness, food choices and allergies, reservations, cancellations, packing, laundry(!!), etc. If something is stopping you from taking that first step and going on that life-changing journey, please reach out. No question is too small or too stupid. It would be my honor to serve as your solo travel coach.
